My mum has just started her Chemo after being diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. She also had a blockage in her kidney and had an internal stent put in. She has just had her first round of Chemo but is really weak and tearful and is now suffering from Cystitis, which is a worry as she is worried the stent is no longer working. So frustrating when we are not able to go and give her a hug as she is trying to sheild as much as possible and so worried about what the future holds.
Hello there and welcome.
Your poor mum-cystitis is a horrible thing. I see AF55 has already given you the same advice as I would have given, and that is for your mum to contact her nurse specialist. I haven’t personally had a stent, but know many people who do and they are unfortunately prone to infection and other issues. It would be best to check with the nurse to see if there’s anything that could help with this, and try not to be too worried at this point about the stent not working. xx
