Part of me feels guilty for complaining about weight gain when everyone says I need to feel lucky to be alive
Hi . Oh my love, you've just gone through a year of utter upheaval, worry, stress and anxious times. You won't have been able to do the same exercises you used to for quite a period of time whilst your body healed itself. I myself had a keyhole hysterectomy after womb cancer and put a bit of weight back on. Although I was soon back to my regular 5 mile walks, hubby's hip's packed up (as a result of long drive taking me and collecting me from hospital last year) and as a result walks are shorter and a lot lot slower.
As time goes on, you'll gradually get back to exercising and probably go off the naughty food habits. I did eat chocolate more whilst going through procedures to cheer me up. Thinking about it, I haven't had any for ages and don't miss it!
I'm sure the ladies on this forum will be along to chat soon, in the meantime write a bit about your journey so far and update your profile. It helps others who might want to ask you questions about your treatments. You also don't keep writing the same thing time after time.
Sending you hugs, B xx
