Hi there. I'D like to say pleased to meet you but none of us really want to be here im sure. I'm 4 days post diagnisis after I found my cervix had completely changed 2 weeks ago and went to the Drs. Thinking it was menopause as I had alot of those symptoms. Since then, the nhs is fabulous here. Ive had bloods taken day 1, CT scan day 2 just had MRI today. Now i have a 10 day wait for my results and proposed treatment. Its surgery for sure but the rest is unknown.
I have an anxiety disorder on top of that and need sedating for appointments and company when I leave the house for safety in case of a panic attack. Which ive had many the last few weeks. Facemask and covid really doesn't help but my dr has been brilliant.
Isnt it strange how even decades trained drs can let slip with their voice just how bad it is, before any words are spoken on the topic.
And am i the only one cracking really bad cancer jokes to family?
Well. I don't have many questions yet, YET. JUST 10 DAYS WAITING and lots of nervous inappropriate jokes. If your in the same or similar dinghy say hi.
Hi Rumbadeboo sorry to see that you find yourself here. You seem to have coped very well so far with your hospital trips. I just wanted to let you know about the charity Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust which specialises in this cancer. MacMillan and Jo's are both brilliant for support but you will probably find more ladies on Jo's in the same or similar situation in terms of treatment plans. Hope this is helpful. Humour is a good coping mechanism & I have recently tried the app Headspace for meditation to manage the anxiety. Whatever helps I say. Journaling & getting out in the fresh air help me too. Waiting for results is really stressful & everyone on here will understand that.

Thank you for that welcome and info. I'll chase that up this week. I've stated an online blog thing just for me to record the blur. I've lost track of time already. Well off we all go on our journeys. Good luck to all xx
