Hi Ladies

IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME !!

Well it has, I think it was the pace Feburary I was fine and April I have cervical Cancer and Endometriosis and have to have a Full Hysterectomy next week.

With the Virus I was isolated and working from home  it felt scary with hospitals being overwhelmed with Covid patients, I was really worried about going into hospital.

I have been to the specialist Womens Hospital for my Pre Opp and feel reassured as they haven't got any patients with Covid although they still using PPE.

Just want to get it over and done with as there is no other options to choose from so bring it on.

Thanks for listening

  • Hi

I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with cervical cancer and I think we all know the 'it'll never happen to me feeling'.

My cancer was a malignant melanoma on my arm. I have brown hair, brown eyes and tan easily so thought 'I'll never get skin cancer' but here I am!

I just wanted to wish you all the best with your op next week and I'm sure if you've got any questions the ladies here will be able to answer them.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
