Hello,
My gal had stage 3c cervical cancer and after several months of radiation and chemo, it appears that we smoked that tumor. Recent PET scans show no activity in the lymph nodes and the tumor itself now sits as a dead infectious mass inside her.
This is the problem, the mass is rotting away inside of her because medical personnel say that they can't remove it. It is ludicrous that a tumor they can access and biopsy in the office can't be LEEPed out in a few swipes, but they say it can't be done
Meanwhile, my gal is suffering as this tumor slowly loses its grip and pushes against a ureter, nerves and anything in its slow way out of her.
A nephrostomy tube was inserted, some nerves are being pinched as her fingers are now numb on one hand and her legs are very painful and the constipation and gas pains she experiences are beyond description.
To accelerate the healing of both the collateral radiation damage and the tumor site by depriving it of its anaerobic environment with oxygenated blood and tissue, she is scheduled for 40 sessions in the hyperbaric chamber.
Brief research looks promising, however, I would appreciate input from anyone familiar with this treatment and its effects on the recovering cancer patients.
Thanks in advance and I hope all are happy and content.
Joe
Hello Joe
So sorry to hear about the difficulties you are both facing. I haven't been through the same procedure but I can recommend Jo's cervical cancer trust. They have a forum where you may be able to find other ladies who have experience of this treatment. They also have an Ask the expert service. I hope this is helpful

Hi Joe,
sorry to hear about your girls experience of side effects. Devastating after enduring treatment and getting successful results, to be faced with such debilitation. I am approaching similar treatment and concerned about it and so its good to read others experience and have more awareness, thankyou.
I am exploring complimentary treatment to support the body and immune system and the side effects and you may find researching on cancer options about the specific side effects helpful.
I have read hyperbaric is a helpful treatment. I am exploring the use of some natural or medicines that support antioxidants. Also, dieticians and detox professionals tend to be a field that look more into how to support the body to release toxic substances, which can be through a range of methods from diet, supplements/medicines, colon cleansing or enemas, exercises and so on. There is anecdotal experience of these online and if you search cancer options you should find further information. They can tell you if they have experience of supporting detox needs of her condition.
Wishing you to find a positive way forward.

Thank you, I will slide on over to that site and see what's going on. It really doesn't matter as we are going ahead with the treatment and it will be whatever it's going to be, I was just hoping for some jaw-dropping stories of remarkable success to show my gal to cheer her up.
Thanks.
