Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2015 at the age of 28 and since then I have 3 surgerys one in 2015  ... 2017 and 2018 the surgery in 2018 was the most radical of them all and lasted 5 hours removing my cervix and the tissues around.. I've been lucky enough to escape chemo and radio buy since the 3 surgerys I am now partially incontinent and have very heavy and painful bleeds. I had a call from the clinic today to inform me of my appointment 3 monthly appointment date and I just mentioned to the nurse about the top of my right leg going numb she sounded really concerned and then told me she was going to email my consultant and my Macmillan nurse to inform them and mark it high priority  I dont want to look online at what it could be because anyone who's had cancer knows where over thinking gets you! any help and advice would be amazing. xxxx

  • Hi

I haven't had the experience that you describe but I noticed that your post hadn't had any responses yet. This could be because nobody else in this group has had what you've described or simply that the person with this same experience hasn't yet seen your post.

While you're waiting to see if you get any replies you could post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist nurses will respond within 2 working days.

Have you heard back from your consultant or CNS yet?

  • Hi have you tried the Jo's cervical cancer trust website- it is very informative & may help you more. However given the date of your post I hope you have heard from your consultant by now.

    Hope this helps.
