Hell of a day went for my smear as have have had symptoms found a large mass that bled, terrified to say the least
Hi Jo,
Try and take one step at a time, I know that it's easier said than done, the waiting for a diagnosis is just the pits. Keep busy and distracted to pass the time, do things you enjoy, anything at all that keeps your mind occupied. If you struggle to sleep I quite like mindfulness videos from you tube that take you through deep breathing exercises and help relax your body, other than that it helps reading a book or watching a box set so you are not alone with your thoughts.
im hear with a dodgy womb but hopefully others who have shared your experience will be along soon. The path to a womb diagnosis is similar. Was it your gp today? Have they referred you on to see a gynaecologist? Your next step should hopefully be a colposcopy where they take a sample and test it, after they have the results from the sample they give a diagnosis. You might also be referred for an ultrasound either before or after the colposcopy. The nhs has a page about the colposcopy https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/colposcopy/
Lots of people pass through the group and get the all clear but whatever happens we are here to wait with you, if you want to speak to a medic you can ask to speak to a nurse on the helpline on 0808 808 0000.
Try not to google, if you want more information stick to this site, the nhs, jos trust and cancer research.
lots of love
