Hey all,

I'm very new to this.

Today I was diagnosed with 1.b.1 cervical cancer, I will now await an mri and ct scan in the coming week.

My emotions are absoloutley all over the show and I just don't know what to feel or think :(

N xx

  • Hi Natty,

Your reaction is perfectly normal, you will hopefully feel better when you have your treatment plan and know that they are springing into action to get it out. I am here with a dodgy womb (I've had surgery and that's all the treatment I need, just getting check ups for 5 years now). I went into a weird robotic auto pilot after my diagnosis and went along with everything I was told without really asking questions or taking anything in, not that I'd do anything different, I just wish I'd found this site earlier and been more on the ball.

I find it really helpful getting a list of questions ready before my appointments and writing the answers and any information that they give me down, the doctors can rattle a lot of information out in a ten minute appointment.

i don't want to throw loads of information at you so please feel free to ask me anything, if you feel the urge to google please stick to Jos trust, cancer research U.K., this site, the NHS and other reputable sites, other places can be out of date and scare you senseless.

    Lots of love

    xxx

    Hi Natty,

I know exactly how you feel. I was diagnosed with 1b1 cervical cancer on the 11th June. I have had an MRI and CT scan and have an appointment on the 11th July with my consultant who will hopefully have a better idea of what my treatment will be.

Have you undergone any treatment yet?

    Sending you big hugs xx
