Has anyone had one of these? Id love to talk about post op symptoms like yellow discharge, weeing, wind, numb legs.. all the lovely stuff :) also have a few questions please comment below xx

  • Hi

I haven't had the operation you mention so can't help with your symptoms or questions but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered and thought I'd see if I could make any suggestions to help.

While waiting to see if anyone replies you could try using the search bar in this group to look for previous threads mentioning the things you want to know about. Alternatively you could post your questions in ask a nurse and one of the specialist nurses will aim to get back to you within 2 working days.

  • Hi Betty,

ive had a look through the threads as I remembered a tracheotomy thread from a few months ago, it's at:

    https://community.macmillan.org.uk/cancer_types/cervical-cancer/f/cervical-cancer-forum/169183/trachelectomy-done

if you reply directly to the threads the person who posted will hopefully get an email and get back to you,

im here if you want to chat too, they took my dodgy womb and the rest but I'm always happy to talk and have had every side effect going lol.

    lots of love

    xxx

    Hello!

I know this is from a year ago but I’ve just joined and seen it. I had a trach in July last year- let me know if you still want to chat! Xx

Hello! It was all successful and I’m very lucky to be cancer free as of last August. Only had the one follow up since my op due to delays and everything going on at the moment, how about yourself? Xx

Aww brilliant I’m really happy for you! Fingers crossed your journey is a smooth one :).

I was doing well but my most recent smear just this April came back abnormal :( bloody nightmare! Especially before the coronavirus hit. I was due to have a colposcopy but my appointment has been frozen for god knows how long. So hard trying to carry on like normal with not knowing. I’m trying to keep positive and stay busy, it’s hard not letting it rule your life isn’t it. The only comfort I suppose is that I’m not the only one.. we must stay happy and thankful I guess :) very happy for you! Genuinely makes me feel better about my situation so thankyou for your message xxx
