Hi Ladies and so sorry for my long absence!
When I first had my diagnosis after the initial PET scan they said they could see a tiny dull nodule on my lung but they weren't worried about it as they are very common and they would keep an eye on it.
Well, around the end of March I received an appointment to go for a high res chest CT scan and this just plunged me into the depths of despair. I had assumed they meant they were going to monitor it on my future "routine" scans and this came as a complete shock and I just couldn't talk myself back to a good place.
Anyway, the long and the short of it is that said scan was postponed for a week so I eventually had it on 24th April and when I went for my 6-8 week cervical check up ten days later, the Oncologist did an internal check and seemed very happy. We asked about the chest CT and she could bring the scan up on the screen but said the report wasn't there. She said she couldn't see anything major and that it was so tiny anyway. So to date still heard nothing and it is nearly four weeks since the scan so assuming that all is ok. Also two members of my family have been really quite ill with the Covid curse one after the other!
I have my three month PET CT at beginning of June and MRI a week later. I hope you are all doing well and it is great to see that you all still have your sense of humour! Wishing you all well xxx
Hi Julie
Great to hear from you again and glad that things are going well. Every little thing can plunge us back into the fear and worry, I know, but all sounds good. Hoping the next scans are really good for you!

Yes thanks Julie-I’m on holiday, arrived today, and think that some warmth and relaxation will do me the power of good!

Thanks Julie
It’s pretty stressful travelling with 2 stomas, but worth it to finally be in the sunshine listening to the sea!

It was always a dream to get to the Maldives and can hardly believe I’m actually here!
