So I start radiotherapy on Monday 7th Feb and chemotherapy on Tuesday 8th. I'm so nervous but strangely excited to start. I know each day is one day closer to the bell but I'm so exhausted from the whole stress of this. But onward to the positive and that there's a light at the end of the tunnel
Hi Scared Mom.
I'm so delighted your starting your journey to kick cancers butt!!! I'm close to a start date too and I'm also nervous but can't wait to get on with it. Keep us all posted about how you're feeling throughout if you can.
Good luck and best wishes
Angela xx
Hi Scared mom! I am in my second week of treatment and I remember being very nervous about my first day. I had chemo and radiotherapy on the first day so was not sure how I'd cope with that. The staff were just lovely and put you at ease straight away. I seem to be coping very well so far and I wish you all the best as you begin your journey to rid yourself of this beast. We are all here with you xxx
I will do sweet and everything crossed you get yours soon
Hope you beat it too, if I'm honest I'm terrified of losing my hair. It's my favourite thing of me. Glad you are doing OK.
Hi scared mom, I haven't lost my hair and they said I won't on this treatment (Cisplatin chemo and radiotherapy). Is this the treatment that you will be having?
I'm having cisplatin too Snobird..our hair can thin but not fall out completely...scared mom I'm quite attached to mine also lol.. but they told me the radiotherapy will cause pubic hair loss!! I say...#result!! Less razors to buy lol..good luck all of us

Hi Scared mom
I’m glad you’ve finally got your start date. What chemo will you be having? I noticed you are worried about hair loss, which doesn’t happen with Cisplatin, but appreciate you may be on another chemo at your stage. Definitely light at the end of that tunnel! xx
Hi Angela
I can confirm the radiotherapy makes you lose some/ a lot lot of pubic hair, but it does come back! Hair on my head didn’t even thin on Cisplatin though. xx
