hi everyone
I just been told that I have secondarys in my mastectomy site possible lung, I start epirubicin chemo just over a week ago and I've started with a headache anyone else had this?
Jules xx
Hi Jules,
Very sorry to read about your secondaries and you having to have a repeat ride with chemo.
Have you had this headache since you first had the Epirubicin or has it come on just recently ? Reason for asking is it might be the stage where the chemo starts affecting your hair follicles that is causing the headache ?
I doubt if this is anything sinister, apart from being a side effect, but if you want some reassurance please contact your onco unit and check this out.
No doubt you were given an information leaflet about Epirubicin (link) but there is some more information about it if you click the link.
Please don't suffer side effects in silence, there is usually something they can give you to ease these.
Take care, George & Jackie (breast group)
Hello, sorry to hear about your secondary. I have been diagnosed with BC and have had a mastectomy. Started my adjuvant treatment - Epirubicin treatment (EC) yesterday. Apart from the fatigue and nausea, I’ve also had some headaches, the nurses explained it’s some of the expected side effects. I’m scheduled to have this for 4 cycles and then another medication for an additional 4 cycles. Wishing you all the best with the rest of your treatment.
