Positive results on Docetaxel

I've done 7 sessions of Docetaxel so far and apart from some generally minor side effects and my last scan (after 4 sessions) showing a good reduction of the cancer then it's all looking very positive. I have secondary breast cancer stage 4, negative progestogen, negative estrogen and HER2+. I have mets to the lymph nodes and neck. I'm doing CBD oil, several vitamins and supplements and lots of fruits and vegetables in my diet as well as fish. No sugar, low salt, low fat and avoiding cards. What are you doing and how are you getting on with treatments? I've even had corona virus after session number 6 and had minimal symptoms. I've done only 2 vaccines prior to starting chemo. Decided not to do a.third vaccine as too many people claimed bad side effects.

Hello  , I'm very sorry to have to welcome you here. But glad you found such a supportive community to be a part of. Just sorry you find yourself here.

That's really positive to hear that the treatment is going well so far - hopefully it will stay that way! Sounds like you are also doing fab at self caring for yourself with a healthy diet and lifestyle as well. Good on you! ^-^

If you want the third vaccine but are worried it might be worth talking to your doctor see what they think. I've only had one vaccine so far, too far to travel for the others and I don't feel well enough currently.

I'm surviving at the moment but doing ok thanks! No treatment as such just a few little things like HRT. At least no horrible side effects yay.

    Take care lovely Heart

  • I too have been forced into the menopause. I'm getting the hot flushes mainly but I'm not taking anything for it and my oncologist didn't want me to take HRT. So you are not doing any treatment at all?

If it becomes a problem defos ask for something to help for the hot flushes. I recently asked and they were really kind and supportive Xx

Not now no, last one was chemotherapy but it was making me so sick and as the cancer had spread - again! - they recommended we stop. So that was that. I'm doing well though.
