Anyone on a trial?

I'm on a double blind trial for a new drug sponsored by Roche with a combination of letrozole or a new drug plus palbociclib. It's an international study and a few sites in the UK are registered so far.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else is on this trial... I am on cycle 11 currently and just beginning to experience some less favourable side effects. I have rib and pelvis Mets, but so far these are stable.

  1. I receive excellent advice and support from my trial team and regular ct and bone scans. I feel honoured to be on a trial and that despite all the rubbish that happens this just might help other people in the future.
  • I tried to get on this trial but they didn’t like my liver mets ( I also have bone and chest wall mets) . However I have been on palbo/letrozole for six months and all stable with some shrinkage too! Good for you doing trial; as you say the results can help lots of women.

  • Meiard the criteria for entry seemed pretty stringent and I had lots of tests ahead of being accepted. I may be on letrozole the same as you, but I will never know.

Great that we are coping with all that is thrown our way so far.
