I was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer ER pos HER neg in 2016 by January 2017 it had spread to my bones. 5 yrs on Tamoxifen and all seemed to be good. I was stable and actually started looking to the future, then wallop! It's spread! It has got worse in my bones and it's now invading my liver. I'm am now on letrazole and waiting to start pribociclib in a few weeks time. Is anyone else on these meds who is of similar age? (I'm 48) I would like to know how you are getting on with this mixture.
Hi lily0403 , I was diagnosed with secondaries in the bone last September while I was being treated for primary BC. I've been on letrozole, palbociclib and monthly injection of denosumab. I'm tolerating these meds well and am living life as normal as possible. The most troublesome side effect I have from the palbo is mouth ulcers which I try and combat by using the biotene mouthwash I'm prescribed. My last 2 scans have been stable with some healing in the bone. Good luck with your treatment plan
Jools xx
Thank you for your reply. I'm pleased that it is working for you. I was taken off denosumab as I got necrosis of the jaw which was very painful fortunately they sorted it so it's settled down now. I hope these meds work as well for me as they are for you. Take care and be safe. Xx
