I don't visit this site much at the moment because I found that I was getting sucked into the bad news stories and it was making me feel very low. Anyway, as an alternative, I thought I would start a thread for positive secondary BC stories as I'm pretty sure we would all welcome them! Please feel free to add your own so that we can build a library to remind us of positivity when we are feeling that our bodies are against us! Positive stories only please. My first one is below the emojis.
Hi All
I wanted to share my own personal story. I’m now 4 years on from my stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis and on my 50th cycle of immunotherapy (letrozole, palbociclib and zoladex). Despite what my terrible initial consultant suggested. I moved to a private oncologist and couldn’t be in better health. Next stop, sorting out my menopausal side effects!
Fabulous to hear your positive news and to know the treatment is working. I am 20 months on from secondary breast cancer diagnosis the 3 weekly Phesgo immunotherapy continues to work for me. My next scan is at the end of July everything crossed for another positive scan
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
