Morning I was wondering if anyone has been or is on medication to fast forward them through the menopause. I am currently taking them but find the hot flushes through the night are resulting in headaches throughout the day.  I take  my letrozole first thing in the morning since 12th Dec and the goserelin injection started 11th Dec an will be every four weeks. I am hoping that someone knows a way to handle or stop the headaches or this be the longest three weeks to being postmenopausal, which is when I'm hoping it'll be easier.

Hi.  I had this treatment right back at the start of my journey.  I found taking the letrozole before bed worked best for me.  I slept through most of the side effects (husband wasn't so keen on having the window open every night even in winter!!)

I also found I needed to increase my fluids or I would get a headache.  I had a 2 litre bottle that I kept with me and also started drinking peppermint tea which helped.

Thanks for the reply that's helpful.   It has got better since I changed back to my summer quilt. I have noticed I need more fluids but I keep a check now by looking at my pee, if it's not clear I have a drink.  I think I'll try peppermint and some others maybe, that's a great idea.

Unfortunately I now seem to have Dory's memory but at least the headaches are easing one bit at a time. Blush
