Has anyone else experiences any twitches around eyes after Docetaxel??....the day after having 3rd dose woke up and around my right eye was twitching...no other way to describe it. Around my eyelid and eyebrow...not painful, just like an exagerated muscle tick you get when tired sometimes.

Now im day 12 post dose  and both my eyebrows are doing a mexican hat dance...all the time, its driving me nuts!!

A bit of a strange question i know......

    Hiya Jo,

Yup,chances are it's down to the Docetaxel as a fairly common side effecting the nerves.

It's a bit like when you drive through a tree lined road and the sun is low and bright, either that or you are turning into Inspector Dreyfus in the Pink Panther films :-)

It's annoying but does go away after a while, well J's did.....

Yes. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing this but glad as I thought I had something else wrong.

I think it's the herceptin as I'm now on a different chemo DTM1 which targets the cancer and not the other cells in the body. I have severe dry eye syndrome with sensitivity to light, both eyes twitching for a few minutes. Settles with eye drops. Worse after a week post treatment

Have the doctors checked your magnesium levels ? My oncologist said that all her patients had low levels and she was happy for me to take a supplement, since then the twitching has stopped , but when she measures it , the magnesium is still low..
