Hi all! I am a young mum of 2 who has recently been through surgery following my diagnosis. I had estrogen receptive, her 2 negative stage 2 cancer. The surgeon removed 5 nodes, one of which had a one cancer cell. I have been referred for chemo but prior had to have body staging to rule everything out. Of course as it happens there is now a query around 2 lesions on my spine. I have to have a PET scan as the radiologist is unable to conclude if it’s a benign change or not. I am trying to stay positive but I find it very difficult. I can’t see past this and find that I now am fixated on this is definitely a bad sign, even though my oncologist herself isn’t that convinced. I don’t know what I am looking for but I just needed to write this down.
Morning - it’s so hard but try not to worry. I had a similar situation, after my CT scan (because mine has spread to my nodes) they found two spots on my spine. They turned out to be non cancerous. My BCN says these scans are so detailed that they can pick up any previous trauma in that area. I couldn’t think of anything that had happened to cause them but it all turned out ok in the end.
Thank you so much for taking time to reply to me. Stories like these give me hope.
I had the same and mine turned out not sinister. 2 weeks ago I got the news I’m now cancer free ️
