Hi,
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to help with a seroma. It's not big enough to have drained but still a nuisance and a bit painful. Im doing my exercises but Just wondered if there was anything I could be doing to help.
Thanks x
Hi
I had surgery in December and ended up having a seroma drained 5 times over a period of about 6 weeks. Eventually my breast started to feel hard and the nurse was unable to drain anymore fluid. She told me that the hardness was the fluid turning to jelly as it was gradually absorbed by my body and advised me to massage my breast to encourage the fluid to disperse, it did seem to hasten the recovery bit that may have just been coincidence so I'm not sure if this might help you but it's worth a try. The nurse demonstrated the massage as small circular movements with finger tips and gentle pressure.
Hope you improve soon
