Diagnosed with hormone receptive cancer right breast
in October - had lumpectomy and 2 shaves in separate ops, DCIS found 6cm on latest shave - therefore mastectomy . Also suggestion of chemo now. No lymph involvement, oncotype test didn’t suggest chemo at that time.
anyone had a similar experience ? I’m also wondering why chemo could be necessary … it was a bit of a blur today and I didn’t ask.
many thanks for any feedback ..
Oh you have been through a roller coaster ride already. My quest to your physician would be shy chemo? I don’t know your age but if you are young that could be a reason and also the size of the DCIS but I am only presuming . Take care of yourself and remember no question is out of bounds with the physician as you need to be clear as to why the changes. Hugs to you .
