Hello me again
so I went to see the breast surgeon yesterday regarding some pain on the right side where I did radiation, I have pain in the breast bone under where my scaring is and deep pain when I breath in and cough also sneeze. The pain also down the right side. The surgeon said it’s a possibility it can be radiation pneumonitis has anyone else experienced this? If yes how is it treated it seems to just be one thing after another unfortunately thanks in advanced x
Hello, I know this is a lengthy article but really good information. comes from the NIH here in US. You can pick and choose the sections that pertain to you and then discuss with your doctor.
Take care and it is a plain to have lung issues. There are good treatments if needed to prevent fibrosis do needs to be addressed.
Barbara
I have had pain in my upper back (shoulder blades) and the bone down the centre of my chest, whenever I went walking or got tired. It was crippling me at first, and when really bad would make me very nauseous.
Then I started to take a rest day between walks, and I measured how far I walked each time to see if there was an improvement. I have to say there is a marked improvement, and after 4/ weeks I can walk without the pain coming on. I still take a day's rest, but I think I am almost back to normal.
I hope that helps
