Hello all, especially to those who have been recently diagnosed. I don’t post very often these days but this group was such a support to me early on and during my rollercoaster of the cancer journey so like to post at this time of year. I’ve just received my latest annual mammogram results and it’s all normal. Best Christmas present EVER.  So I’m still cancer free. I hope this gives everyone on here a ray of hope that you can get through breast cancer and will get your life back. I’ve been updating my profile for the last 4 years if you are interested in my journey. But in a nutshell whatever you are feeling (most likely terrified) is normal. Go with the emotions (they will vary daily). Reach out to others and KNOW that breast cancer is highly treatable and survival rates very high. Wishing you all the best for 2025, which may seem uncertain, but you will get through this.

  • Brilliant news and thankyou for sharing, just at the start of this journey but hoping for positive outcomes. X

  • Hi

Thank you for sharing. I’ve just had two cycles of EC Chemo and next one coming on 30th. X

  • Good luck with it all x

  • Well done. Glad to hear some good news for a change as I am still in year 1 of this dreadful journey.  Have had chemo, Lumpectomy and Radiation but still having Phesgo every 3 weeks until April (Am HER2 +) . I thought things would settle down physically and mentally but having a difficult time convinced I will die soon and hold my breath with the stress of it all. I exercise each day and eat healthily but I cannot shake this unsafe feeling. I have counselling but counsellor was sick over Christmas so appointment was cancelled.

Lovely to hear your good news as we need to hear positive stuff . Thanks for sharing. xx

  • I’m so sorry that you are going through this.. it’s all perfectly normal to feel the way you do. Wishing you the very best for your return to work.. part time is a great option. People are kind, but don’t really get it and soon forget the terrible ordeal you have been through so continue to reach out to people on this forum.

Honestly.. I can’t say it gets any easier come the annual mammogram, (I’m still in bits 4years on, when there are these triggers to remind me) but I can promise life gets easier and I certainly don’t think about cancer and dying quite as much as I did.

hopefully your counselling sessions will resume soon as it’s helpful to talk things through.

but hold onto the FACT that survival rates are very high and recurrence is very low.

  • Bless you for your kind words. They make all the difference x

  • Thanks so much for sharing. I have my double mastectomy next week and it's been great to hear your positivity. All the best for 2025 xx

  • Hi  so glad to hear you’re doing well. I’m happy to also report a clear 4 year mammogram and checks. Feeling well and enjoying life but still SUCH  relief! Best wishes to you and everyone who finds themselves here xx

  • Brilliant news for you Pray I’m just starting my journey xx
