Waiting, waiting

I was diagnosed with Grade 1 lobular cancer, Her negative on 16th October after going to my GP as my left breast just didn’t feel right , was very heavy, ached all the time & felt lumpier than normal ( always had lumpy breasts) . My lumpectomy & SNLB was on 7th November , results on 20th November were positive as in my margins were clear but the nodes did show evidence of disease so my tumour has been sent to America for testing to find out my Oncotype score , this will determine my treatment moving forward, chemo, radiotherapy & hormone treatment if 26 or higher , radiotherapy & hormone treatment if 25 & lower . So feeling a bit in limbo waiting for this score Disappointed

  • Hi Muz

Hope you are recovering well?  Fingers crossed that your oncotype score will be lower so you can avoid chemo. I had a single mastectomy & sentinel lobe biosy for dcis on 6th November but don't have my post op / results until 13th December Disappointed.

Wishing you all the best & sending hugs xxx

  • Hi Wave

my bestie keeps me updated on your progress , hope your results are the best they can be

big hugs to you too Sparkling heart

  • Good luck and I hope everything goes ok

your story is almost exactly like mine (except I didn’t have clear margins and had to go back to get margins)

Do hope that oncotype comes back nice and low. The wait is horrible.

    take care
