Hi, just wondering if any of you have found that certain diets and supplements improve your situation? I’ve been reading about the metabolic approach and am hoping that good diet and supplements, alongside Letrazole, will help, but any feedback would be welcome! Thanks x

  • Following!!

Just to get things going I’m taking

    magnesium

    evening primrose

calcium / vit d (the only one the oncologist actually told me to take)

    glucosamine

    tumeric

ive basically stopped drinking and cut down on processed sugar

sort of following the stuff on Anti Cancer (amazing book)

early days - started letrozole 1 august - no aches as yet. But I’m pretty sure lots of exercise is more to do with that than diet or supplements. But taking them all for a bit anyways!

  • Thanks C22! I’m currently taking Quercetin, curcumin, magnesium, Omegas 3 and 6, high polyphenol olive oil, vitD3 and K2 and bone broth. I’ve cut out sugar and am getting used to 100% dark choc as it’s supposed to be very good for you, but it takes a while to get used to it! This is alongside Letrazole and am waiting for surgery and hoping the surgeon will agree to partial lymph node removal. It’s early days for me with the diet, and hoping others will have had good results. Wishing you all the best x

  • Hi, I take

    Magnesium

    Cod liver oil/omega 3

    Vitamin B

    Calcium + calcium D

    Hair, skin and nails

I also exercise every day,  well almost. Cut down on alcohol and trying to cut out sugar. I have been taking letrozole since July with a few aches and pains but manageable.

  • I would say that being fit definitely helped recovery from surgery

only just finished 15 radios so too early to say for sure whether it helped or nor with recovery from that  but I was pretty fine throughout and able to carry on running pretty much as normal.

  • I need to brave the 100%! Apparently you need to build up to it!!

  • Hi Snozzle, sounds as if we’re following the same path - I’m trying to exercise more and am also doing intermittent fasting, but only 14/10. I stop eating at 6pm and start at 8am the next day, so quite easy once you’re used to it. Best wishes x

  • True! I quite enjoyed 75% and really disliked 100% at first. But now I quite like having a couple of pieces after a meal. I buy an organic one which is more expensive but tastes better x
