I had my first zoledronic acid infusion last week. Got the usual side effects, feeling as if I'd been run over by a bus. Has anyone also experienced agitation for a few days? It's not pleasant at all, cos it's like adding fuel to the fire of my already anxious state.
Why did they give you this was it due to sickness ? Was it due to high ca levels ?
It's a treatment which helps to protect your bones whilst on aromatase inhibitors
Hi Sourdough
I had zoledronic infusions x 6 bi annual over 3yr . I would be off for about week and also had Seffect of UTI first time ever and none since finishing .
i think we all get different SE because we’re all so different but in the end the benefits exceed the discomfort .
The story of my treatment is on my profile if you want to read just click on my name
take care
Yes my wife had it to reduce calcium going into her blood.
Hi, I can relate, “run over by a bus” was how I felt after my first one. I’ve had 5 more since and every one not a single side effect. Weird, but positive! Hope it eases soon for you, best wishes
