Bisophosphonates

Morning, I have started alendronic acid, to be taken once a week, with a 200ml glass on water, keep upright for half an hour before your cup of tea x

it never occurred to me it might just be weekly, I assumed it would be daily so that’s a positive.

I have had no side effects but then I've only taken 2. Check with your GP about when you should take them x

My biphosphate is ibandronic Acid and it’s a monthly tablet, I have to be upright for an hour. The first tablet I was on was daily and I hated it so they changed it to this monthly one so maybe you can ask with that x

Oh and I don’t really have any side effects that are hugely troubling, maybe a bit of a sensitive digestive system and mild headache but I work in a school so!  Could equally just be coincidence x

My oncologist said you can have the bisophosphonates as an iv drip twice a year as I take Lanzoprazole for reflux  .

I take Ibandronic acid daily and yes that is correct I kissed my morning cuppa goodbye for 3 years and have regular dental checks too. 

You do get used to it ️
