I had a mastectomy 2 months ago and lymph node removal and today I noticed a lump under the armpit. It feels soft and I’m sure it wasn’t there yesterday. Is it usual to have a build up of fluid (seroma) after surgery. Not sure whether to message my breast nurse tomorrow.
Hi RKD welcome to the forum. Seromas can develop at any point following surgery so there is a strong possibility that this is what you are feeling. If I was you I would do as you are thinking and get in touch with the breast nurse tomorrow and see if they can have a look at this for you.
