Hello everyone, very new here. I had a cyst aspirated in May 2023, I felt it again in Jan 2024 but this time the contents were bloody, they came back as intermediate DCIS, much to the breast care teams surprise. My surgery was cancelled as a second area of concern was found, it looked benign on the images and like the start if cysts but with mine starting in a cyst they decided to biopsy it to be safe. It came back as invasive cancer. Its taken a long time for all the biopsy results to finish and they've now given me a choice of a mastectomy or lumpectomy. I felt strong at first but now I feel worn out and scared. Has anyone had any similar circumstances. I've no idea what to expect. TIA for any info/advice
Hi Roni74
Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. What you are feeling is perfectly understandable. The best piece of advice I can give you is to take things a day at a time.
Wishing you the best of luck with your operation whatever you decide to do.
Best wishes
