Advice on radiotherapy and chemo - is there really a choice?

Hi Smallpooh welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear how worried that you are. Both Radiotherapy and Chemo can be used in an individual person as part of their treatment plan. Most of these decisions are made by the Team who look after us and they decide which is best ,or both, based on the best available evidence for our types of Breast Cancer. It might be worth writing down any questions or concerns that you have for the appointment on Friday as we are often so worked up in the actual appointment we often forget to ask our questions hence it helps to have it written down. What are your thoughts about Radiotherapy and Chemo?

I guess try and make sure it doesn't come back but also chemo seems quite brutal - but how to live with worry it might come back 

Hi Smallpooh I dont think that fear ever truly leaves any of us and certainly any aches and pains often send many of us off into panic mode. 

I guess would radiotherapy get all the cells or would it come back and would chemo help but it seems quite brutal. People talk in 5-10 years but that's not long enough my kids won't be proper grown ups even

People often talk about 5 to 10 years but that is just a figure and not relevant for us all if that makes sense ? I'm almost 7 years down the line and still here and well and trying to keep out of mischief. Xxx
