I had a mastectomy on one side with immediate DIEP reconstruction in 2023. My cosmetic surgeon is recommending various procedures to improve the look and match to other breast, including liposuction at hips and fat transfer on breast and nipple reconstruction. He has suggested getting my other breast lifted. I’m looking for some feedback from people who have gone through these procedures. Do you regret having cosmetic surgery to improve the look of the DIEP breast or the other breast? What was the liposuction experience like? I’m concerned about loss of sensation in my non-DIEP breast and I’m considering just leaving it but I wonder if I will regret that? Are there any negatives re liposuction that I should be aware of?
