Hi all
I got bad news last week. My triple negative breast cancer has returned. The tumour is 1 cm. I have a meeting with my breast surgeon tomorrow at noon to discuss my options. I have decided that I want a mastectomy as though I know it's no guarantee I don't want to get it a third time or a fourth time if you count the ER + PR Positive cancer in my right breast.
Best wishes to all

Hi Daisy
So sorry to hear your news I know you stay positive and beat this again , we are all here for you sending you lots of love and big hug xxx
Daisy - am gutted to hear this. TNBC does have a high recurrence risk doesn’t it? As you know I have this and because of the additional PALB2 gene mutation am also opting for a double mastectomy. It doesn't eliminate risk completely but does take you down to the national average or even a bit lower.
My goodness you have had a ride with this and continue to do so - hopefully risk reduction surgery will bring some ‘ease’ to your mind and body.
Keep us updated on how your discussions with your surgeon go. I met with mine re surgery and implant possibilities and felt almost good when I walked out! I really hope you leave your session feeling a level of confidence as it certainly helps.
