I have had a Double Mastectomy, my biggest fear was not waking up. I had the Mastectomy , woke up , had good movement and returned to normal pretty quickly I've just had a Hickman line inserted and met a lady in the room who told me she just had a peg, feeding tube, she was so calm about it and she was on a drip. I suddenly felt ok about tubes going wherever , not sure about the bladder, that might need more work , but hey. Life is as it is. Enjoy it.
