Hi all decided to take advice and wake up early today because mornings are my worse time , so I'm trying to hopefully see if this helps and makes me feel a bit more with it .... its day 6 and I'm juwilling myself to feel slightly better in time for Easter, so I can see my granddaughter . I would appreciate anyone else's take on feeling better in the mornings , can I do anything or just let take its time . When they tell you that yoyr treatment is one every 3 weeks you think that's great , got good days ahead but already I'm eating into my first week . I wish everyone good luck in all your treatments xx
Morning brunette 23 it does get better I find the first 2weeks a nightmare not helped by being on 2weekly treatment but I do find week 3 day 1 the only day I have is normally a good day so I'm guessing if I didn't have treatment then it would be a good week I have tried to stick to getting up normal time ish and I think it's helped a bit not that I do a lot but I find no matter how awful I might feel getting up washed and dressed makes me feel slightly more human and as thought this cancer isn't taking over my whole life
taking care of yourself is important though so don't try and rush to much know that even though you feel rubbish it's to make you better in the long run so that you get to spend lots of Easters enjoying your granddaughter
Xx
Thanks Kentish Maid I do think as women we want to be back to normal cleaning and taking care of the home... but as you have said we need to just take care of ourselves and not put too much pressure n us . 8 know we have to feel like this to get that end result but it is punishing. Thanks again take care xx
Hi Brunette 23 sorry you’re feeling rough . When I was on chemo treadmill (ECX6) for me when the steroids finished day four I would crash for couple of days and would feel even worse . Then would gradually improve .
So I decided to listen to body and would rest up the first week then start to build up the good days were usually from day 10 to feeling quite normal by day 15 . I planned days out or treats for that last week of cycle before next treatment .
What was useful for me was the fact someone told me to keep a diary of symptoms from day 1 treatment day to 21 and you usually will see pattern emerge so you can plan around SE
Listen to your body rest when needed and do what you can when you up to it . In those first few days take it easy I would only walk in garden but by end of cycle my steps would be back up …. Not Olympic standards but more than day 2 ….300 steps if I was lucky
Thank you Northerner I also was told to keep a diary which im doing I haven't managed to get out for a walk as yet because of low energy bit hoping to soon get out . Its so good to be able to talk to all you ladies who knows exactly what I'm going through and can advise and support...Thanks xx
