Hi all,
I'm new to BC, I'm new to the forum so let me know if I've just put this whole thing in the wrong place. Lol!
So I'm 48, I received my diagnosis last Thursday, 3 bumps, one is not invasive, one is invasive, the other is a mystery which will be solved by an MRI this Thursday. So far, it's all looking very treatable, thank God! That said, I'm keeping everything crossed.
I've got my first oncologist appointment today.
It's a journey I wish I wasn't on but I'm sure I'm not alone. If you're feeling alone, reach out. There's a space on the rollercoaster by me!

Hi GreyCats,
Thank you so much for your reply!
Yes, all those little bleepers are in the same breast. The oncology appointment went well and it all seems optimistic.
I'm not excited about the prospect of chemo but that's hardly surprising!
How are you doing?

Hi GreyCats,
Thank you so much for your response. I replied earlier but who knows where that went! Into the ether somewhere I guess!
Yes, the bumps are all in the same side. The oncologist seemed positive so I was quite reassured.
How's your journey going lovely?

The forum has a few peculiarities, such as sometimes requiring another click on the login icon before it will show you as logged in, so a lost message is possible. I think the team is working on ironing out any glitches, but a site this side will take some doing.
Good on the oncologist being positive!
Not much to tell from my end other than I am more than ready to get off the cancer-ride, but it takes as long as it takes.
Unfortunately this is one of those situations that we just have to ride out! I'm not sure who said 'the only way out is through' but they were right.
So an MRI for me this Thursday just to check for any lurkers. It's looking like 2/3 weeks till the chemo adventure begins. I've decided to try the cold cap but it sounds a bit ominous. We shall see I guess!
Hope things are going well for you.
Take care lovely!
Hi Louisejohn,
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm worried about the MRI finding other stuff too but if they find it they can treat it I guess. It's not something that we want to hear though. Oh love!
It's great that you've got a date for surgery. Hopefully the next 6 weeks will fly by and you'll be out the other side before you know it. How are you feeling about the surgery though? Do you have to have chemo as well or radiotherapy?
Sorry for all my questions, I'm just really nosy!
Take care lovely!
Mads
