I have read so much information online about my diagnosis. I’m so scared and feel will I survive this . It’s ducal  her2 triple negative- grade 3. Just read so many negative stories

  • Hello Andrea. I am a little confused about "Her2 triple negative." I was diagnosed with Grade 3 triple negative breast cancer in late 2020. Mine is a success story. Negative stories can grab attention, same as dramatic birth stories do, and you don't get to hear the stories of all the women whose births were straightforward and even short, because usually there is not much to tell. I don't have much to tell either; I was diagnosed, it was treated, I am on my way to recovery now and from what I am told, there is no current medical reason why one day I should not celebrate my 100th birthday.

Late last year I found out about a new treatment path that was opening up for triple negative breast cancer, I was told at the time it would be starting in the early part of 2022, so I am guessing it's here now. This means that the odds for people like you and me are even better now than they have been.

    When were you diagnosed?

  • Hi Andrea50

I was diagnosed with grade 3 triple negative breast cancer in September 2020. After having chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I am now cancer free. Did you google your diagnosis?  If you did try to ignore what you read on ther as the information is years out of date. Rely on sites like this one or breast cancer now as the information on the disease is more up to date.

Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment when you have it.

    Best wishes

    Thank you

  • It can take a while to digest everything, and espcially as there are new things to find out about, such as chemo. I hope that in time, as you find out more and have more time to figure things out, you would start feeling better. Good luck for tomorrow and for Wednesday!

  • Hi Andrea50

Best of luck with your bloods and heart scan, and your chemo on Wednesday.
