    Hi Irishgirl16

Thank you for asking, I feel so alone in this. Thank goodness for u ladies here to pacify.

I am a bit better now with the bone pain, round the clock painkillers did it. But now the loo runs and also the acid reflux is baaaaad.

I will try more soups and ryvita, and hummus. Bread is vile right now.

Does the taste come back for a bit before the next Chemo?? I am so scared for the next round but trying to get through this one first!!

  • Glad your bone pain is easing. I’m not sure, thought I was ok but had some nightmares last couple of nights.  Today I’m feeling quite anxious but it’s the unknown I think.  PICC line at 10.30 and just had the all clear as it stands today at my dentist this morning-back at 2 for the hygienist and Im Ready for the bone infusions whenever they happen. Enjoying a nut blend latte at Starbucks before PICC appointment.  Have they given you something for acid reflux? X

    Hey Moco

Hope its not too bad for the Picc line today. I get what u mean with anxiety. Its all the poking and proding. I have my port on 24th...so not looking forward to it but I am hoping for lots of sedation and numbing drugs!

Today I learnt that taking vit supplements may affect chemo so will lay off those. Everyday is like a new discovery. Got call with onco on Thursday, for now I will keep downing the yogurt drink.

Good for u to enjoy that Starbucks!! I can just imagine the taste!!

Not sure if you already know but I found some of these free workshops to be quite good, see link: https://lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk

Hope all goes ok today. Am here if u need to chat after.

    Hey Nix.

Thanks for writing. I am so glad u say it doesn't last!! I find breakouts all over my head and face ..i feel hideous! I took paracetamol for the bone pain, but trying not to rely on them. I wished Claritin would have worked! Maybe I will try again.

    Hi Claud272

Drink as much water as you can. Flush it away .....Flush the chemotherapy out. I had a cold on day 8 so I thought the bone pain was that. It shocked my body and everytime I went to move it shut me down. My second one was pushed back I have it on the 18th January.

I hadn't taken anything just the anti sickness

Sorry Nix that your second is pushed back. Very frustrating for u but better to be safe. OK am drinking as much as possible...I feel so bloated with water being topped up!! Even though so I must. I am thankful you're here alongside me!!

I took omeprazole. My left hand is tingly still (which I hadn't iced as that was the hand where canula went!) Took anti sickness 3 days after and stopped. I just hate the acid feel sigh. Can just about cope with no taste...force feeding.

I guess u are on your good week now?? I hear the week before next Chemo is more 'human'

Thanks hun. We'll I've been ok since around the 23rd December. New year was good felt normal but didn't last past 12.30am. I take omeprazole anyway so that might be why I didn't suffer with it the first time. My hair on my head is all gone and I can see bruised nails. I am dredding the next 6. But I try to prepare for each one really. I hope you get a good week. I find gaviscon good. I drink a lot of herbals and lemon tea too.
