Hello, I have been on sertraline for nearly 15 years. I
I have had to suddenly stop it in order to begin tamoxifen.
However I am struggling hugely. I feel sick and so down. I am struggling to do anything and just constantly cry.
Has anyone else been through this?
Has anyone got any advice?
Hi Sunny25,
I have been told to take either Tamoxifen or Zoladex - not both.
I am trying Tamoxifen now I have changed my anti depressant. I don't believe my periods will stop on just this.
Someone else may be able to help though?
Best wishes
Rosie
Hey, I’ve been in a similar situation—I had to stop sertraline when I started tamoxifen too. My doctor switched me to escitalopram instead, and honestly, it wasn’t as bad as I feared. The transition was tough at first, but it got better with time. If you’re struggling, definitely talk to your doctor about alternative antidepressants that are safe with tamoxifen. Also, I ordered my Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) from this reliable pharmacy: mastersupplier.net/buy-nolvadex-uk.html, and the quality has always been excellent. Hang in there—you’re not alone!
I'm interested in knowing more about this as it's been suggested I try an antidepressants for a while but I'm super sensitive to some and will be starting tamoxifen soon.
I’m on both sertraline (50mg daily) and tamoxifen (20mg daily). Think the oncologist discussed it and was comfortable for me to take both at the same time.
