Has anyone else experienced bleeding and discharge from their nipple . The first time I ever saw this was after biopsy and doctor didn’t seem worried as said it could be because of this .  My last biopsy was 23rd September  and I have discharge and bleeding again and it hurts .   Is this usual ? Does it mean it is far worse now ?

Hi Harleybear welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear how worried that you are.

Im assuming that you have had biopsies in the past as there have been areas of concern or is that not the case at all? Whatever the case you MUST go back and see the GP again and tell them what is happening as the biopsy that you had was nearly a year ago so any new symptoms need medical attention.

I dont know if it means its worse or why this is happening but you mustn't put up with this and go and see the GP as soon as is possible and please come back and let us know how you get on. xxx

  • Sorry it was 23rd September mis printed . I am on the 2nd of 7 cycles of chemo before surgery .

The discharge and  bleeding has stopped but it’s now back .  I am just scared again as I am still waiting CT results . Having an awful time With chemo too Xxx

  • Try not to panic.  You are on active treatment so it's not getting worse as you fear,.  Monday is soon enough to ring your BCN to discuss.  xx

  • Thankyou , have read your story congratulations on coming out the other side of this disease .  I am so fearful that it was all found too late for me . Every appointment has bought me worse news . I can’t get my head into the I can beat this mindset feel like I am living a nightmare .  Xxxx

  • I would put a call in to your Oncology contacts or BCNs for reassurance on this particular issue. That is what they are there for. I was ready to have my nipple checked after last weekend, but it improved, so I didn't in the end. Keep saying to yourself that you can do this. you just need a little help - we all do.

  • I know it's hard and you feel scared and alone but we are here to listen and help. Xx
