Hi I’m new to this don’t really know what I’m doing but here goes. I was recalled for a second mammogram in August 2020 in September 2020 was confirmed I had invasive ducal carcinoma breast cancer caught early stages needed lumpectomy and then radiotherapy.October had operation and was then told it was worse than first thought and took 27 lymph nodes out of left armpit and 20 were cancer which now meant also needed chemotherapy.November started 3 rounds of FEC-T which was hard giving me lots of trips to A+E with infections followed by 3 rounds of Docetaxel which were the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through after having a months break then had 15 rounds of radiotherapy.Through this found I was HERS2 positive which meant while having the Docetaxel I started targeted therapy of Herceptin and pertuzamab every 3weeks for 17 lots.I have also been put on Letrazole Ibandronic acid Adcal3 for 10 yrs.My problem now is that practically since going on this medication I have got really bad diarrohea and have lost over a stone in weight. Can anyone tell me if they have had the same problem it seem coincidence this started at same time  my Drs are trying tests to see if can find cause this has been since May 2021 I only have 4 more lots of Herceptin so I really want to finish this treatment now got so far with it. I will be very interested if anyone has experienced similar thanks x

    Hello Jungle Woman,

The first bit of advice is to drink plenty of water to keep your fluid levels up.

The second and more important is to talk to your oncology team or the chemo unit.

With your weight loss and the other side affect you may find they lower the dose.

If you read down through the posts you may find a few more answers on page 3.

    Hope this helps.

    John.
