I have been reading some of my paperwork and understand NST, Grade 2 and HER2 neg, but don't quite understand ER8 and PR0. I'm going back for results on the 18th of a second op as they found dcis in the the margins which were not clear following a lumpectomy and lymph node biopsy. Although I will ask the consultant then, I wondered if anyone else had heard of ER8 and PR0?
I ask some ridiculous questions when at the clinic, and then forget to check my written notes for more important questions and forgot to ask about the ER8 and PR0.
Hi Gazeebo, I saw similar information on my histology report and didn’t understand. I have found some information and I think this link may help to explain. https://www.breastcancer.org/symptoms/diagnosis/hormone_status/read_results
ER8 is a high positive for oestrogen receptive cancer which means your cancer is driven by oestrogen, PR0 means it is progesterone negative and isn’t driven by progesterone, you will probably be prescribed something to block oestrogen production, hope that helps x
