Has anyone had experience of Radiotherapy as opposed to Axillary lymph clearance?
Hi Roseby
Welcome to the forum and sorry you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I had radiotherapy about 6 weeks after surgery. I had fifteen sessions of radiotherapy over three weeks five days a week. I didn't find it too bad I just found that I got more tired as the radiotherapy progressed. I had to do a breath hold as my cancer had been in my left breast and under my left armpit. I didn't find it too hard, they practiced with me before hand. The only other side effect I did have was a sore throat toward the end of my treatment because they zapped my left collar bone and the beam hit the base of my throat.
Hope this helps and wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your treatment.
Best wishes

It’s been at least four or five months since I finished radiotherapy I didn’t have to request it my oncologist arranged it.
Best wishes
