Hello

I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?

  • Took some coffer and perked up a bit. Will go shower and then bed! I cannot even keep focused on any box sets!

Do u find ur pattern for your days? Hopefully you're on the up days soon...its hard I know. I did online shopping and asking my partner to pick up Friday. Its no fun not being able to be independently doing these things.

You're right, keep positive. I am on a 3 weekly cycle. So I think it will hit me over next few days. I still try to go on my exercise bike in order to stop thinking negatively.

    Rest well Key...

  • Hello everyone  am 3rd day after my op and I’m still in so much pain.   I also feel sick and don’t want to eat at all .  I fear the critter is bigger now it has not had any treatment for a month now.  Feel so low I tried to talk to doctor today but she wanted to see me and I have no one that can take me and am way too sore to drive .   Everything in the family is a mess right now am really worried about my mum and dad.  I don’t think I am going to get through this .

Hope all is well with those of you going through chemo this week. Xx

  • Hi Harleybear

Sorry to hear that you are still in pain and that you and your family are struggling.  Would you ring the Macmillan helpline to talk to one of their volunteers about you are feeling?

Sending you love and a big hug. xx

  • Ate you able to get a taxi or user? What about a friend or neighbour. I wish I was there near u and can help. Its so tough! What about your partner or in laws? You need to pluck up courage to ask for help.

Is there a number to ring for your pain management? Get your gp to prescribe u stronger pain killers which could help??

Sorry its really rubbish right now Harley. Please know it's temporary, and you WILL come through the other side. Try to concentrate at one thing at a time too although it's normal to feel worried about BC. There are many options so don't feel you're at a lost here. Please make sure u are eating well as u recover,  so important for healing and sleeping too.

Sending u lots of hugs and love xxx

  • Can the G.P. do a home visit if you don't feel well enough to drive ? Or maybe send a Nurse ? I would ask a neighbour or friend. If Dr wanted to see you, you should really go, or tell her why you can't so she can help further. There are volunteers sometimes who drive people.

  • After some advice, anyone had a dry cough post chemo ? 1st time in feeling rubbish since chemo and being paranoid no temp.

Harleybear one day at a time you will be back fighting this critter soon, keep going your doing amazing xx

  • Hi, I have had a dry cough twice during my 3 chemo sessions.  After 1st session and was convinced it was covid but pcr was negative and have developed another cough last couple of days and had 3rd chemo last week.  It"s probably because of low immunity but all sorts go through my head at the moment with every twinge x

  • Me too with paranoia, my scalp is so painful sigh. I keep 2m apart from ppl and mask up in car! Does anyone know what days you will feel less tired?

  • The 5 days straight after chemo have been the worst for me for the EC chemo.  I am dreading starting the docetaxel in case the side affects are worse.

How have you been so far?

  • I ended up going a and e as had slight temp, and I've got pneumonia on lots of antibiotics. I thought I was being a pain by going as there was probably nothing wrong, glad I went xx
