Hello, I'm new on here.

I had a breast cancer 20 years ago.

Lumpectomy,  chemotherapy and radiotherapy.called back for more tests a week ago .had 3D mammogram,  ultrasound scan and a biopsy on a suspicious lump plus had small area of calcification which apparently is normal at my age (70)

Lymph glands are clear and it's a small lump . Anyone else had similar experience?

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I was treated for breast cancer, I don't have the experience you're looking for.

I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet so responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi I went back to my consultant two weeks ago, after having an operation in 2021 for beast cancer, which was removed successfully followed by radiotherapy,  having found a lump in the same breast plus my beast going yellow the only way I can describe it is a jaundice looking with tiny red dots in it. I have now had a biopsy on the lump and the yellowing skin. My consultant said he thinks it's from the radiotherapy in 2021.

I'm finding this wait  more worrying than I did last time as I was convinced it was cancerous but not sure this time.

    I'm trying to stay positive.

  • Update just had a letter to say the lump was benign now waiting on the next result so far looking good.

I hope you have heard re your biopsy.
