Hi all,
Been a bit stressed about getting a bra. I am having a mastectomy on Monday. I have had several appointments with the surgeon but my breast nurse was not there, there was a support worker instead. I kept been told I have the wrong bra and need to speak with my breast nurse. I have tried to contact them to no avail.
Getting a bit panicky now as I am due for surgery on Monday morning and have no bra. I have no clue what to get either but am going to try and order one tomorrow.
Normally I am a 32 DD. I will be having a single mastectomy reconstruction with an implant. I have been told I will be slightly smaller on the reconstructed side. Maybe a D/C cup.
Has anyone else experienced this and where did you buy your bra from? I’m not sure if I need my normal size.
Thank you to anyone who responds. I will ring my nurse again tomorrow and see if I get anywhere.
Hi Samantha1234 my surgeon advised I buy a reco post surgery bra but that I could also buy other post surgery bras and would find them on amazon. You can get reco from cancer research uk or from reco themselves HERE is where I got mine.
They are front fastening compression bras. I bought two and still wear them 9 months on as I find them comfortable.
All the best with your surgery x
