Hi there
Just been to see my oncologist with the results from genomic testing. Good news is that it was low so I won’t be needing chemotherapy but will have radiotherapy therapy and will have to take Letrozole for 5-10 years. Not looking forward to the side effects though.
Anyone else having or had similar treatment?
Regards
Fi
Hi Fi,
I am the same, my genomic testing was very low so just had to have radiotherapy. I’ve had 12 of 20 so far and started to feel tired and sore after about a week. Trying to walk when I feel up to it and lots of fluids. I have started taking tamoxifen which started month ago. I felt bit dizzy when first started and feel like have some water retention. I have to take these for 10 years.
Hope your treatment goes ok.
Karen
Hi Karen
Thank you for your reply. You’re more than halfway through your treatment! I’m hoping I’ll only need five days. Hope to have my planning meeting next week. Just want to get started as I feel like this has gone on for ages now!
Good luck with the rest of your treatment and rest up!
Fi
