Hi. I have finished 4 months of FEC-T nearly 3 weeks ago and feel as though I felt physically fitter when on it and the 21 day in between period. I am currently on antibiotics for an infection (GP doesnt know whether its viral or bacterial following a telephone consult!). I have sore watering eyes, aches and my sinuses are badly blocked. I have felt like this for nearly two weeks. I am tired all the time and only 47. No children not currently working but staying active everyday so why do I feel as though some days I could just stay in bed? Is his normal? Thank you in advance.
HI Forrest1865 I'm sorry to hear that you find you are feeling low/unwell following chemo. I can't assist with your question as I didn't have chemo, but by answering I'm 'bumping' your question back to the first page as it's slipped down. Hopefully there's someone around now who can relate to your experience and give advice.
Best wishes, Lesley
Hi Forrest1865 can’t answer your question I’m afraid as I’m just behind you. My last cycle is on Thursday and although I’ve been planning what I might be able to do before surgery 6 weeks after that, I’m keeping in mind the cumulative affect that cycle 8 will round off!
Might be worth having a look through the monthly chemo thread and /or re-posting your question there. There are several ladies who have either just finished, or are approaching the end of chemo.
Personally I have found my mood to be a bit up and down at the moment, which for me, makes me a bit lethargic. I think it must all be to do with the moving on from one stage to the next and not knowing how I’m going to be after surgery. Trying my best to give myself a kick up the backside and to get out and about walking, no matter how lethargic I’m feeling!
Hoping you feel much more energised really soon xx
Hi Forrest1865 sorry you're feeling rough .
my story on profile but I finished chemo Dec 2019 but then went on three weekly cycle of Herceptin for year now on infusion every 6 month .
I was told that chemo would take about three month to leave system so yes still felt rough . I think it's because you don't have the steroid etc support . I just took it slowly walking more steps each week . Just listen to your body ,rest when needed ,
