Breast tomosynthesis

Hi Sf79 Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear what has happened for you and it may be that they have seen something that they are unsure off and thats the treason for the recall.

From what I understand Tomosynthesis is the same idea as a Mammogram but shows more detail of the breast and surrounding tissues and there is some thoughts that this could replace or sit alongside current Mammogram procedures and it sounds like your area are way ahead of the game by offering this for folks.  I think it gives a 3D image of the breast which means that it can give more detail. 

I can understand that it will be a worrying time for you, you wouldn't be human if you were not worried but hang in there and hopefully this turns out to be a false alarm and all will be well.  xxx
