Hi can someone please advise me if it's normal to have so much fluid, I've had my op 3weeks ago today, had 350mls of fluid drained on Tuesday, an the swelling is coming back, feeling really uncomfortable, grateful for any tips or advice, is it to much exercise or to much lifting or doing things around the house.
Hi Missy nic
It sounds like you may have a seroma, a build up of fluid that often happens post surgery. I would confirm this with your hospital team but its very common, I had several, one went after a number of weeks and another needed syringing...the challlenge, as you now know, is that they can come back again & again.
I don't think its due to doing too much (as I did as little as possible) its just a side effect post surgery.
Sam
