Tomorrow I will be 4 weeks post mastectomy and lymph node clearance, I am going back to clinic again for a 3rd drainage tomorrow. This time it has moved to a big pocket of swelling under my armpit and half way along scar. I can press my scar and it ripples with fluid underneath. How many times have people had this done? When do you decide not to have it anymore if it just fills every week? I originally had my drain out at 1 week when it was still draining 60ml over night but unfortunately when I was standing up in the day, it just leaked from drain site and ran down my tummy so they couldn’t leave it in any longer.
